Scanning Photos
- Wipe the photo & scanner flatbed before scanning. We cannot
touch up dust or other spotting from your computer.
- Scan original photos only, not photo copies. Professional

accompanied with your order form.
- Scan your photos at 300 dpi, scaled at 100%. In most cases,
the scanner's default setting is at 150 dpi. Please adjust your
setting before submitting your photos.
- Do not crop or edit your scans in any way. Hana Hou
Designs will do the editing.
- Save your images as a .jpg file at the highest quality
possible.
- Please do not scan polaroid photos.
Picture Taking
Tips
- Get a close-up picture of your child. Capturing their
expressions can result in a great photo for your cards.
- Take pictures of their little feet and hands.
- Focus on your child when taking photos by pressing your
camera's shutter button half-way.
- Use simple backgrounds and eliminate distractions. Try to
limit what is behind your child. Perhaps use a black or white
blanket and lay your child on it as your take pictures.
- Avoid busy or 'loud' clothing. It could be too distracting.
- Use props such as a big ribbon to place on your child. This
would be a perfect prop for your photos.
- Take pictures under natural sunlight and avoid using flash.
